I’ve blogged about the super one-stop online shopping experience that is CSN Stores before; they recently contacted me with the offer to become a CSN preferred blogger! Happy dance!
I got to choose $60 worth of stuff from their 200+ online stores. I was a bit overwhelmed with indecision, but there were a number of things I absolutely needed for the kitchen, which were a cinch to find.
1. Silicone baking mat – $9.00

This turns any baking surface (like this previous CSN gift, the Rachael Ray Cookie Sheet) into a non-stick one, without having to keep using foil/parchment paper.
2. Rolling pin $16.95

I love making pizza at home, but my hand stretching skills are pathetic. This sturdy guy makes thin-crust dough a cinch. It’s made of bamboo (a renewable resource) but be warned – it is humongous. It’s bigger than the baking mat/sheet!

3. Tongs with Silicone $9.99

As far as I’m concerned, tongs are an essential in the kitchen and I use a lot of cast iron and non-stick skillets – these make it so that I don’t have to worry about scratching the cookware’s delicate surface. Plus, the silicone grips stay cool to the touch.
4. Cute salad plates $19.99

Aren’t you sick of looking at my black and white plates all the time? I sure am. These are fun and remind me of a Cape Cod vacation. They’re microwave and dishwasher safe too.
5. Measuring Spoons $4.95

All my measuring spoons are separate and all over the place – in the containers housing the coffee grounds, the sugar, the salt….I needed just one set for cooking/baking. These are Paula Deen, y’all.
The ONE beef I have with CSN Stores is that everything came shipped separately, sometimes needlessly overpacked (witness the giant box stuffed with plastic filler for the itty bitty spoons). Not terribly environmentally friendly.
That said, their delivery was very prompt (faster than promised, actually) and they have hassle-free returns and free shipping on orders over $69.
Thank you, CSN Stores for another great opportunity! I love my new toys.

Wow, you got some very cool stuff
ooh fun new things! I love the new plates!
You will love the tapered rolling pin. I’ve not seen a bamboo one. Very cool. I actually store my measuring spoons on a little stand that was intended for a counter top espresso cup holder. It holds three sets of spoons, a set of nested measuring cups and my cork screw. Everything is right there and easy to find. So much better than digging through the drawer.
Oh I LOVE kitchen gadgets! I want it all…I need it all, really
What a cool opportunity! I could definitely use a new rolling pin so I can stop using a canola oil spray can…
Yay for fast delivery!! I hate having to wait 3 months for a small package, lol. I end up forgetting that I even ordered it xD
The rolling pin will be perfect for Homemade Dumpling skins or Scallion pancakes!!
Wow. Thank you for being honest about their packing issues, even though they gave you a gift. Maybe they’ll listen to you and use recyclable packing materials.
My grandmother had a rolling pin in that shape. Of course it wasn’t bamboo; it was wood. She was a master with it. I think they are actually better and more versatile that the handled ones.
Enjoy your new gifties— can’t wait to see what you bake. BTW that silicon sheet thing is amazing. I use parchment paper but that isn’t so environmentally friendly.
Like I always say, spending money on kitchen toys is money well spent. And those products were very reasonably priced too. Great choices Lynn. Love that silicone baking mat. Hope CSN take your advice on being more environmentally friendly. Good for you for bringing that up. Hope you have a lovely weekend!
Wow those plates are adorable!!! Nice choice there Lynn!! It is so exciting eating off plates and bowls with cool designs.
Bummer on the shipping!
I would love to try a baking mat someday though!
jealz of the silicone baking mat!!!
Great choices!!
I haven’t hadn’t great luck with the silicone pads for baking, but I have multiple tongs and measuring spoons in my house and use them all the time.
I hate when something you ordered comes in the biggest box possible. I got maple syrup from amazon the other day and I had no idea what it was because the box it came in could have fit a computer!
Wow all your buys look awesome! The plates are cute.
