Did you know that yesterday was not only Lunar New Year, but National Pie Day? I was so glad my stomach was feeling better last night to celebrate both!
Threw together a mishmash of Asian influences for dinner with what we had in the house. Of course, noodles were involved for longevity!!!
Base of red onion, garlic, and ginger sautéed in coconut oil
A whole package of cole slaw mix, doused in Bragg Liquid Aminos
While that did its thing, I had a huge pot of salted, boiling water going for soba noodles and edamame
4 minutes later, those were drained and tossed with a sauce of Kimlan Soy Paste, Gojuchang, and a little of the reserved cooking water
Let’s see…in this bowl we have China, Japan, Korea…
…and a drizzle of Thailand…
…random but tasty!
While eating we caught a Unique Eats episode, featuring the pizza from our Christmas in New Orleans…
…funny, because I had a bit of The Big Easy planned for National Pie Day!
This Hubig’s had been in the freezer, so I ding donged it for 30 seconds…
…it reminded me of old skool McDonald’s fried apple pie!!!
Gong Xi Pie Day!

Random noodle stirfry looks awesome! That’s what I end up having for dinner more often than I’d like to admit.
Will try it soon (although probably with frozen veggies rather than cole slaw mix).
Well this little meal looked very yummy…….can you tell me what all the Braggs can be used in? I think I would like to try incorporating it…..thanks
It can be used just like soy sauce. I like it a lot better cooked than straight up, raw.

That noodle dish looks awesome! I haven’t had soba or sri racha in way too long.
